Mr. Dotson's Picture

A Message from Mr. Dotson

It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the principal of Valley View Elementary. My name is Jason Dotson and I have served as the principal at Valley View for the past 11 years. Prior to becoming principal, I worked as a middle school teacher for 10 years in Campbell County. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Lincoln Memorial University as well as a Master's in Educational Leadership from Union College, Ky.  My wife Breiann, and our four boys; Bryson, Hunter, Channing, and Beckett are my world. I am blessed to have the opportunity to wake up every day and create a positive impact on young children. I wish to serve as an example to my students, staff, and community that we should all strive to make a positive impact on children. Valley View Elementary school offers children the chance to grow and become successful not only as students but as leaders in our community.

Mrs. April's PictureA Message from Mrs. April

Hello, Bobcat Families!  My name is April Paul and I am the Assistant Principal here at Valley View Elementary.  I grew up in Pineville, Kentucky, but in 2009, I moved to Campbell County with my husband, Dusty. This community quickly stole my heart, and I am honored to serve the students and families of Valley View.  I am an alumnus of The University of the Cumberlands where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Reading & Writing and an ED.S in Instructional Leadership and Administration.  The 2021-2022 school year will mark my 15th year teaching.  I began my teaching career at East End Elementary in Middlesboro, Kentucky teaching 5th Grade Writing. In 2010, I was hired on at Valley View Elementary. Over the last 11 years at VVES,  I have had the privilege of being a classroom teacher, reading interventionist and instructional coach.  Being an educator is my hearts work, and I take great pride in our school. Each day,  it is my goal for our students to know that I believe in them, respect them, and value them.  I want every child to feel loved and safe while receiving the absolute best educational experiences possible.  I am and will always be committed to working closely with Mr. Dotson, our amazing teachers and staff, parents, and community members to ensure our Mighty Bobcats achieve their full potential!
